I love The Daves I Know from Kids In The Hall, but I can’t imagine how it was pitched. It’s barely even a genre parody; half the time, it’s just pure nonsense. I feel like if I’d had an idea like this, I wouldn’t know how to describe it, and would probably embarrass myself trying. I would give anything to have eavesdropped on this pitch meeting.
